Trills and Thrills Festival Trip

We are heading to Six Flags and the Trills and Thrills Festival on Friday, May 31st. We will be leaving around 8:30am (so students and can parent chaperones can arrive to the school at regular school start time) and returning by approximately 9:00pm. It is very important that students be picked up on time. I will have students call on the way home to give you an exact time of when we will be arriving at the middle school. I will also send out messages via the Remind App.
Students can eat a quick lunch on the bus before we go into the park. Please make sure your child has enough money for food in the park for dinner. Unfortunately, food in the park is very expensive. Students must wear their Blue LMS Band shirt on top, but can wear any school appropriate bottoms. If you are a chaperone please go to the band room at 8am. All chaperones will get their band t-shirt at this time.
This is going to be a great day! I am really proud of all the students have accomplished this year and I can’t wait to show our stuff and have a fun filled day at the park.

Thank You,
Mr. Casale

Rules for Six Flags

1) Students should never be alone under any circumstances. Groups should stick together and be aware of where their group members are at all times for safety.
2) Your Blue LMS Band shirt must remain on at all times for clear and easy identification.
3) Parent chaperones will be assigned to their children’s groups and should be aware of where their child’s group is at all times.
4) Students should check in with chaperones every hour to make sure groups have not gotten separated and everyone is safe. Students should let chaperones know that they are ok and give their approximate location.
5) Students and chaperones should have dinner around 5pm and take a little break before returning rides so they don’t get sick.
6) Students should not be using the water park.
7) Everyone should meet in front of carousel at 7:30pm at the end of the day.

What to Bring

1) For lunch – I suggest a bagged lunch. We are performing a little earlier than usual. We can eat on the bus directly after our performance on our way to the park.
2) For Dinner - Bring at least $25 dollars for food. Food is expensive in the park and there is no other place to eat dinner. Food can not be brought into the park.
2) Your instrument. Drummers bring your sticks. And your Music!!!
4) Your cell-phone. Cell phones are ok on this event, because they will be used for communication and safety.
5) Bring sunscreen and hats. You will be in the sun.
6) You must wear your Blue LMS Band, but you should wear school appropriate bottoms and sneakers. You will not be allowed on the trip without your band shirt. You can bring a towel, sweatshirt etc.
7) A backpack is OK, but they will be searched at the park. You cannot have food in them when you enter the park.
