We have Advanced Band this week on Wednesday. Next week we will have Jazz Band on Monday. Extra help will be available next Wednesday.

Concert Dress voting has been tallied and we will be doing black on bottom and white on top this year. We will be doing tie dyes for advanced/8th grade band and jazz band this year. We will order those sometime in January.

Festival Date Expected on June 3^rd

All concerts are mandatory and count towards the student’s grade.  It is a culmination of all of the hard work the students have done leading up to the performance. Advanced Band and Jazz Band are extra so do not count towards a grade, but do factor towards inclusion in the six flags trip.

The Cookie Dough Order has been placed. Now we wait for the check. Once I get it I can send it and get a delivery date from the company. More to come....

Advanced Band Starts Tuesday and Jazz Band Starts Thursday!

Very Exciting! Music has been passed out so start practicing. 

Concerts, Parades, and Six Flags Oh Boy!

Advanced Band and Jazz Band acceptance letters should be out by Wednesday. We will start rehearsals the following week. I'm looking forward to it. We've got some great music planned and sone great musicians ready to play it! 

Unfortunately,  The band parent meeting scheduled for tomorrow will be canceled due to the fact that I'm sick.  We will be rescheduling for Monday, October 19  6:30 PM.

Just a "Reminder!"

Don't forget to sign up for "Remind." This is a great way for me to communicate with parents. I will send out occasional notes to remind everyone of upcoming events and news.

Advanced Band and Jazz Band Music is Available!!!

These are awesome bands and a great opportunity. If you would like to do it..... try out. Even if you can't play everything you should give it a shot. Students who are interested should pick up the music and start practicing. I have not set a date to start tryouts, but they will be during class in a couple of weeks.

Well everyone has had their first day of playing and getting back to the music. We are off to an exciting start. I will be making myself available for beginners night this Friday, but from then on I will be available on Tuesdays after school for extra help. Rock band got together for the first time today and we are going to be practicing on Thursdays. Music for Jazz Band and Advanced Band should be out by next week. I encourage everyone who is interested to take a shot at getting in. We do some really cool stuff. Concerts, Parades, Six Flags and More..... You never know what could happen!

Welcome To LMS Middle School 

Band 2015-2016!!!!

I hope everyone had an amazing summer. I certainly did. Lots of gigs, time with family and I even hiked 

Mount Washington Woo Hoo!
